| VBSOFT (India) Ltd has developed indigenously
India’s first automated CNG station management system
with an automated gas filling and dispensing system and an
automated billing and authentication system. Vivek Ogra, director-technical
of VBSOFT, said that their new system, named ‘CNG.net’,
has been designed for Gujarat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. “With
the proto-type functioning at GSPC’s Hazira station,
we are now approaching other oil and gas majors like IOC,
HPCL, BPCL and Reliance. With some modifications our new system
can be used for dispensing petrol and diesel too,” said
Ogra.
He claimed that theirs is the first company to have developed
this automated gas dispensing system in India. “While
our system would cost Rs2-3 lakh, the ones available in the
US and Canada are priced at Rs 9 lakh and above,” claimed
Ogra.
VBSOFT’s application automates the entire process –
from the customer walking in with a vehicle to refill the
fuel till the billing process-which takes just a few minutes.
The automated touch panel is a fully functional touch screen
system with smart card reader, online payment processing and
online billing mechanism. |
