VB SOFT Limited is planning to market IT Solutions for automated gas station management to major oil-marketing companies. The Ahmedabad –based IT solutions company recently implemented an automated CNG gas station management system for Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation

Mr. Vivek Ogra, director, VBSOFT told reporters that VBSOFT was planning to approach Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) and other private players in the field. ”Our indigenously developed –CNG.NET includes automated gas filling and dispensing system, billing and authentication systems and is the first such solution in the country”, he added.

VBSOFT had designed CNG.NET specifically for the pilot CNG station project for GSPC. The system can also be used for other fuels like petrol and diesel. Mr. Ogra also pointed out that the cost of manufacturing the technology developed by the company would be far more economic than importing such an automated solutions. “An automated system from US or Canada would cost around Rs. 9 lakh but the solutions developed by VBSOFT would be available at Rs. 2-3 lakh” he said

The three-year-old VBSOFT that has developed a range of other solutions in disaster audit, vehicle inspection systems, healthcare and telecom industry is, however, not interested in manufacturing the systems.
