The National Council of Cement and Building
Materials (NCCBM) may take patent of a Management Information
Systems (MIS) created by Vbsoft India.
The Ahmedabad based VBSOFT is also the systems solution
provider to the US Federal government.
NCCBM, a government of India enterprise, which oversees
the construction quality of more than 2.5 houses in quake-affected
Gujarat, has been using the unique MIS designed by the software
company to conduct audit at the sites across the state.
“The company has done an excellent work while executing
an agreement with US since the last one year and we have already
extended the contract. Now we are seriously contemplating
to take patent of the MIS developed by VBSOFT,” L H
Rao, resident project manager of NCCBM said.
“We have been working with the Gujarat State Disaster
Management Authority (GSDMA) in the reconstruction audit project
which yields a huge database and, earlier , we were anxious
about maintenance of these statistics, But now with the help
of this system, we can work without any hazard,” said
Rao.
A statewide network was developed by VBSOFT India for NCCBM
to conduct the audit of houses being reconstructed as per
GSDMA guidelines. The unique audit system, which take care
of standards set by the Bureau of Standards and GSDMA guidelines,
helps figure out inadequacies in the construction and offers
remedial action.
“The system keeps track of all phases of construction
and the evaluation is done with an indigenously designed technology,”
said Vivek Ogra, director of Vbsoft |
