The Client

Skyworks provides the building blocks of wireless, front-end modules, RF subsystems and cellular systems to handset, WLAN and infrastructure manufacturers worldwide.

The Confront
The challenge was to facilitate the world's most renowned company in RF systems, set up their establishment in India as well as smooth the progress of a test run. To provide the client a lead time-period to gain an understanding of the socio-cultural issues that could impact the functioning of their enterprise in India, the agreement was carried out to provide the entire requisite professional and infrastructural help as well as run their office for a fixed time & cost, and the rights of the same can be transferred to the client at a later date on a mutually agreed price.

The Solution
VBSOFT accomplished the whole assignment successfully within stipulated time, which included assistance starting from establishing the company to run the entire functioning for predetermined period as specified in the contract and then transferring to the peer company. The support in entire operations included:

  • Help in identifying and recruiting critical Mass
  • Management/Admin/HR support and all liaison for fulfilling all statutory requirements in minimum possible time.
  • Provision of secured environment to transfer technology and data.
  • Expandable/Flexible plug and play facility to expand as required.
  • Project Management and Delivery Support.

The Potential
Globalization has created greater opportunities for construction companies to expand their market share abroad and earn higher returns, In developing countries like India, rapid economic growth is outstripping infrastructure supply. Governments in these countries are unable to fund vital infrastructure development and rehabilitation, so they are increasingly turning to large international firms as a source of funding through concession contracts such as Build-Own-Transfer (BOT). These firms generally have a greater credit standing and capacity to finance the large-scale projects. If procured properly, the BOT option presents a win-win solution for governments, private sector firms, and the community at large.
